Speedy facility helps ISG go green

Speedy - the UK’s largest equipment and support services provider - has entered into an agreement to provide an on-site hire facility for Interior Services Group (ISG).

Speedy will be sole supplier for a range of tools, equipment and training for its £85m scheme in Stockton-on-Tees, which will provide global technology services provider Electronic Data Systems (EDS) with one of the largest and most energy-efficient data centres in Europe.

The project, scheduled to complete at the end of 2009, is the first for ISG’s InteriorExterior division outside London.

Matt Lo, ISG Financial Manager said: “The advantages of a Speedy on-site facility were clear to us – not only does it make good commercial sense, but there are also major health and safety and environmental benefits.

“EDS was recognised earlier this year for the ingenuity and innovation that has gone into the ‘green’ design of this building, and are determined to continue this trend by working with partners like ISG and Speedy.”
