Shearings to strengthen support for agents as sales opportunities increase
Shearings has announced plans to strengthen its support for agents, to capitalise on increased opportunities within its core over-50s customer base and its expanding product portfolio.
As part of this plan, Shearings will appoint two new sales managers, dedicated to helping agents drive sales in the South East, an area highlighted by the company as a key development region.
Caroline Brown, commercial director for Shearings said: “We want to ensure we’re maximising opportunities for our agents, by offering as much support as possible. As well as widening our product portfolio to help agents increase their sales from the over 50s market, we’ll also be growing our agent support team. This will allow us to offer wider access to training, including training in person from our sales managers and online training modules.
“Agents are of vital importance to us, and play a pivotal role in our plans for growth. As was highlighted recently at the Travel Convention, agents who choose to work with us can benefit from the loyalty and high holiday spending of the over-50s market. Some of our agents have customers that book over 20 holidays each year with Shearings and 20% book more than one holiday a year.
“The South East is a particular focus for us as we carry more passengers from here than anywhere else in the UK.”
