Shearings tempts agents with iPad giveaway
Shearings is launching its new 2011 second edition brochures with an attention grabbing promotion designed to boost sales during the peak booking season.
Every agent who books a Shearings holiday during January and February will go into a prize draw and each Friday two names will be selected. One will receive an iPad, and the other a free Shearings holiday, which will be either a stay at a Coast & Country hotel, a river cruise or a Lake Como break.
The escorted tour operator has launched the giveaway to celebrate the second edition of its UK & Ireland, Europe & Worldwide and River Cruise brochures, which feature its widest ever collection of holidays.
Caroline Brown, commercial director for Shearings, said: “The idea of the promotion is to raise awareness of our expanded product range whilst rewarding the agents who sell our holidays with some fabulous prizes.
“In addition to this, we’ll be supporting those who’ve joined our Shearings Expert Agents scheme by providing various joint marketing opportunities to help them maximise sales during the peak booking season. We’re also offering a 10 percent discount across the board on bookings made by 28th February 2011.”
The highlight of the new brochures is a 10 day cruise along the Mekong River from Vietnam to Cambodia, with other additions including an Eastern European Danube cruise from Budapest to Bucharest and seven new European tours.
In addition to the new river cruises, Shearings has added new tours to Spain, Northern Italy, Croatia, Malta and Gozo, Austria and Eastern Europe and has added new dates to popular tours.
UK tours have also been expanded with new October departures, additional dates on popular tours, such as the Great Highland Railways, an extra hotel added on the Isles of Scilly and hotel upgrades on the Invercauld Arms, Braemar and the Ship & Castle, St Mawes.
