Shearings responds to demand for All Inclusive value

Shearings has launched the second editions of its 2010 UK & Ireland, Europe and River Cruise brochures with an increased All Inclusive offering following demand from customers.

The brochure launches come at a time when the travel industry is reporting increased demand for All Inclusive holidays.

Presentations at the recent Worldchoice Conference revealed that All Inclusive holiday bookings are up 22 per cent this year, with agents selling 240,000 more of these type of breaks than last year, while Travel Weekly are anticipating that this upward trend will continue well into 2010.

Commercial director for Shearings, Caroline Brown, says: “The latest figures revealed at Worldchoice and travel industry feedback as a whole indicates that All Inclusive holidays are gaining in popularity faster than ever before, and our booking trends confirm this.

“In the current economic climate customers are becoming a lot more value conscious. Whether looking for European or UK breaks, they are reconsidering what’s available and looking more closely at breaks which include everything in the cost, as many now find it comforting to know in advance how much they will be spending on their entire holiday.

“Our latest brochures feature new European and UK products which have been designed to incorporate more value for the customer, as well as offering some fantastic early booking offers.”

The Shearings 2010 brochures include 30 new UK tours, 12 new European itineraries and 34 river cruise holidays across 14 ships. Early booking offers include up to £100 saving per couple on a Shearings river cruise, up to £80 per couple on a European break and £50 per couple on a UK break. Bookings must be made before 31 January to get the savings.

New tours include a new 9 day all inclusive Adriatic break from £499 as well as a number of new UK and Ireland tours which feature added extras such as included drinks.

The new UK brochure will also feature Shearings’ full Christmas 2010 programme for early bookers, as well as an increased range of theatre breaks, all at 2009 prices or lower.

Caroline believes that Shearings expanded all inclusive range combined with competitive prices makes Shearings a perfect partner for agents looking to maximise bookings and revenue during the current market conditions.

Caroline added: “With a wide range of options which include food and drinks as well as extras such as sightseeing excursions Shearings are providing agents with a great opportunity to drive sales and make additional commission.

“The average selling price on a Shearings all inclusive holiday to Europe is £1,458 (£729 per passenger), providing an excellent profit margin.”

The latest brochures follow Shearings being named ‘Best Escorted Tours Operator’ at the British Travel Awards (BTA) and number one provider of river cruises by a leading travel industry publication.
