90 year old holidaymaker's 80 day road trip

A young-at-heart holidaymaker is set to hit the road for an extraordinary 80 day-long holiday.

90-year-old Peter Roberts from Colchester will travel the length and breadth of the UK next summer after booking 16 separate touring holidays.

Peter, who booked the coach holidays with Shearings said: “I’ve always loved getting out and about, especially during the summer, and I like to go on several coach holidays a year.

“I decided to really go for it next year and I’ve planned my 2010 holidays so that I have a five-day tour to take every fortnight.”

Peter has travelled with Shearings for the last twenty years.

Peter says: “I’ve stuck with Shearings because I always find the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I now know many of the drivers and hotel staff well and they always remember me and make sure I’m well looked after.

“Best of all, I’m able to take my mobility scooter onboard on the coach, which makes it much easier to get around when I arrive at my destination.”
