Genesis slashes prices to make cloud computing accessible for all
Mobile and SaaS specialist Genesis Communications has launched the most affordable hosted IT packages on the market for small and growing businesses to help them take the plunge with cloud computing.
The packages are set to redefine the market by providing common-sense IT solutions for SMEs’ everyday business issues at the most competitive prices ever seen for hosted services.
Starting from just £3 a month, the three market-leading “Core” packages for email, customer relationship management (CRM) and collaboration are all based on hosted Microsoft software, which SMEs can access on a month-by-month basis, with no initial implementation costs and no minimum contract. Users then have access to a set of additional offers and bolt-on services for each package, such as unlimited storage capacities for users and mobile access.
Genesis’ Exchange Core will offer customers market-leading email services on a flexible monthly contract for £6 per month. Customers can add and remove users on a month-by-month basis, which enables growing SMEs to support new team members quickly and with minimum cost.
In a market first, the package contains unlimited storage with MS Exchange, removing the need to delete emails to free up space. Genesis is anticipating its hosted email customer base to grow by 80% once the services launch.
The company is also offering its existing customers the ability to share documents by providing free access to Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software for 3 months. Any new or existing Windows Mobile customers will also receive free Exchange mailboxes for an initial three months.
Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Genesis, commented “There’s so much chatter about cloud computing, but no one has yet been able to create a compelling package for SMEs that provides the services they need, at the right cost. We’ve invested millions in the very best IT infrastructure in order to pass the savings on to our SME customers and create packages that will lead the way in cloud computing.
“We’ve built these basic packages on our ‘elastic IT’ model. Cloud computing gives any small and growing businesses access to the most comprehensive and user-friendly IT services from the world’s leading vendors on a pay-as-you-go basis, and this can be increased or decreased depending on the current demand. Businesses will have everything they need, at the most competitive prices ever offered on the market.”
