York Designer Outlet gets Spellbound for the Best of British weekend

York Designer Outlet will be holding its biggest ever event over the bank holiday weekend (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 August) as it celebrates the very Best of British.

Following the success of last year’s event, the outlet will again be presenting the best in British fashion, food and entertainment with an array of spectacular free events and special offers throughout the centre.

Topping the bill at the two-day event will be Spelbound, acrobatic gymnasts and 2010 winners of Britain’s Got Talent, who will be leaping and triple somersaulting their way into the outlet. This is their first appearance in Yorkshire and shoppers will be enthralled by their gymnastic ability during two breathtaking performances in the British Pavilion at the North entrance.

Customers will also be treated to the most amazing display of precision driving they’ll ever see by the famous Russ Swift Mini Stunt Show who has performed his fantastic, daring driving skills all over the world

Sally Gilbank, marketing manager at York Designer Outlet, said: “We’re extremely pleased to announce that we’ll again be offering a great range of free events over the bank holiday weekend.

“We’ve got some really exciting performances lined up, and are looking forward to welcoming lots of customers along to the outlet to celebrate what being British is all about.”

Other highlights of the Best of British weekend include an early evening screening of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland at the Outdoor Cinema, a British produce market with stalls from Deliciously Yorkshire and Little Pretty Things British chocolate workshop.

York Designer Outlet boasts over 120 top designer and high street stores, including Ted Baker, LK Bennett, Hugo Boss and Armani Collections all sold with discounts of up to 60 per cent. Located at the A19/A64 intersection, the centre is within easy reach of York city centre.
