Warm up for Wimbledon at Livingston Designer Outlet
With Scotland getting into the swing of Wimbledon, Livingston Designer Outlet is launching its summer of sport programme to give sports fans an added bonus whilst shopping.
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July, the outlet will be transformed into a centre court as ‘Time for Tennis’, the World’s only comedy Wimbledon walkabout act makes its debut.
'Time for Tennis' is a highly original, interactive and family friendly act that sees a restrained and polite umpire trying to mediate between an increasingly frustrated American John Mucinrow and his unsuspecting opponents (the general public).
Shoppers will be able to watch slow motion replays, heated line calls, live commentary and even join the actors to play the parts of the challenger, ball boys and girls, physiotherapists, and even royalty for the grand finale trophy presentation. The shows will take place five times a day outside the Marks & Spencer outlet.
Fiona Cochrane, marketing manager at Livingston Designer Outlet said: “The whole outlet is behind Wimbledon again this year and we wanted to put on an on-site experiential event to get our shoppers excited for the finals.
“Some of our stores will be running exclusive sports promotions, so shoppers need to keep an eye out on the website and also the Twitter feed.”
As an extra treat, the outlet is launching a World of Sport scratchcard* on Thursday 17 June, where customers can win tickets to international sporting events if they spend £60 or more in one visit.
Located off junction 3 of the M8, Livingston Designer Outlet offers more than 90 designer and high street brands including Aquascutum, Ted Baker, Marks & Spencer Outlet, Cruise, Skechers and Mamas & Papas all reduced by up to 60 per cent off typical retail prices.
