Swindon students sing for Haiti at fashion event
Four Swindon students will be performing a song they have produced for the Haiti Appeal at Swindon Designer Outlet this weekend.
The singers, from The Commonweal School, will open the outlet’s LK Bennett fashion event on Saturday 6 March with a live performance of “One Drum, One Beat” which they have released as a single to raise money for the Haiti Disaster Appeal.
Nick Williams, marketing manager at Swindon Designer Outlet, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the singers to the outlet and their performance is set to be a fantastic opening to our event as well as helping to raise the profile of such a worthy cause.
“The day will be an inspiring combination of live music, fashion and dance to showcase LK Bennett’s latest spring and summer range. As well as catwalk shows and entertainment, we’ve also got some fabulous giveaways.”
The event kicks off at 12pm with the Haiti Appeal student singers and there will be live entertainment through until 4pm including a performance from Bobbi’s Academy of Dance.
Shoppers will have the chance to get their hands on some great prizes as Swindon Designer Outlet’s personal shopper will be giving away a £100 LK Bennett voucher on the hour every hour between 1pm and 4pm.
The Haiti single, performed by the Fab Four, Sophie Goldsworthy (16), Carine Conway (16), Connie Paul (16) and Beth Preddy (15), will be available to buy at the outlet to raise funds for the Haiti Appeal.
Swindon Designer Outlet, which is open until 8pm weeknights, is located just off junction 16 of the M4. It is home to top brand names including Superdry, Hobbs, LK Bennett and Ted Baker, all offering up to 60 per cent off typical high street prices.
