Retail advice on hand at Cheshire Oaks' new Skill Shop
Local retail workers will get the chance to pick up valuable training qualifications and advice at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet’s new onsite Skill Shop.
Established by the Cheshire Oaks Retail Academy (CORA) and accredited by the National Skills Academy for Retail, The Skill Shop has been created to provide both individuals and businesses working in the retail industry with a variety of training and development opportunities.
Sharon Vaughan, training coordinator of CORA, said: “We want the Skill Shop to help local people establish a solid career in the retail sector.
“We’re able to provide a variety of services at our onsite training centre, whether it’s helping employers get their staff up to date with the latest qualifications or arranging training that can help a sales assistant become management material.”
Colin Wilding, general manager at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, said:
“The new Skill Shop is a fantastic opportunity for local people to improve their skills and we’re looking forward to welcoming enthusiastic retail workers who want to learn more about their trade.”
The Cheshire Oaks Retail Academy was founded by the local Authority, West Cheshire College and The McArthurglen Group in 2003 with the aim of providing retail training and support to the local community, including management training, young apprenticeships and work based learning.
