Insider info for Swindon bargain hunters
Shoppers at Swindon Designer Outlet have the chance to be ahead of the game when it comes to grabbing a bargain – with an alerts service of new stock and special offers.
The outlet has launched its alerts on social networking service Twitter. The free service enables shoppers to follow the outlet at @swindon_outlet and receive updates with information about new stock deliveries, bargain finds and additional offers from brands.
Judith Stephenson, personal shopper at Swindon Designer Outlet, said: “We needed a way to ease the pressure on our centre team, who found themselves regularly fielding calls from bargain hunters wanting to know if there had been any deliveries at their favourite stores that day.
“The rivalry between shoppers can get quite intense, so this new service allows us to give everyone a fair chance. Twitter was the ideal solution because it’s free for shoppers to use and can be instantly updated.”
Swindon Designer Outlet, which is open until 8pm weeknights, is located just off junction 16 of the M4. It is home to top brand names including Hobbs, LK Bennett and Ted Baker, all with up to 60 per cent off typical high street prices.
