Generous shoppers donate gifts to help local cause
Over £1,500 worth of gifts has been donated by local shoppers to help the families of children diagnosed with cancer.
Customers at East Midlands Designer Outlet have been donating unwanted or unsuitable gifts to help raise funds for the Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children (PASIC).
The charity, which is based at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, gives help and support to families that have children suffering from cancer, leukaemia and brain tumours.
Simon Revill, retail manager at East Midlands Designer Outlet, said: “The response from our shoppers has been fantastic.
“We’ve received a great range of gifts, from toys to toiletry sets, which will now be raffled as prizes to raise money for this worthy local cause.”
Bea Brunton, PASIC co-ordinator, said: “We cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity. The donated money and gifts will make a huge difference to the families we support and we are very grateful to the outlet for giving us the chance to raise awareness and promote our cause.”
Located just off J28 of the M1, East Midlands Designer Outlet has over 70 stores with permanent discounts of up to 60 per cent. The outlet is open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 8pm on Thursday, 10.30am to 6.30pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
