Fashion Ambassador Heads For Downing Street

Leading fashion industry figure Oscar Pinto-Hervia has received an exclusive invitation to 10 Downing Street in recognition of his support for British fashion designers.

Oscar, who founded the high end fashion boutique Hervia Bazaar in Manchester and the online store www.herviabazaar.com 18 months ago, will be attending a Downing Street event to mark this year’s London Fashion Week. The event, run by the British Fashion Council, will be hosted by Samantha Cameron and attended by leading figures from the fashion industry.

As well as selling collections from up and coming designers through Hervia Bazaar boutique, Oscar has also been a judge for the British Fashion Council and Elle Magazine’s Talent Launch Pad.

The scheme helps young designers to develop their business and secure retail distribution. In support of the scheme, Hervia Bazaar is stocking new collections by two designers – Eudon Choi and Holly Fulton – for at least two seasons, giving them their first opportunity to sell their designs.

Oscar said: “I’m passionate about fashion and supporting the wealth of design talent that is in the UK. It’s extremely flattering to be invited to such a prestigious event and it will be a great opportunity to celebrate the very best in British fashion.

“My involvement with the British Fashion Council in supporting British fashion talent has been a wonderful experience and is an extension of the work we do at Hervia Bazaar.”
