Constructionline targets more buyers following key appointments

Constructionline – the UK’s largest register of pre-qualified contractors - has strengthened its sales team.

Fiona Graham and Darren Lane have joined as business development managers, targeting buyers in Scotland and the South East of England respectively.

In her previous role Fiona worked for tool and equipment hire giant Speedy Hire while Darren brings several years experience working from both the buyer and supplier side after working in the engineering industry and for the NHS.

The total number of registered buyers on Constructionline has now passed 2,000 with organisations like the University of Southampton, Luton Borough Council and New Forest Council among the recent sign-ups.

Philip Prince, Constructionline sales and marketing director, said: “A rise in public sector funding for construction and the need to deliver substantial efficiency savings has shifted the spotlight onto procurement.

“This presents us with an excellent opportunity to increase the number of buyers using our service to complement to the growing numbers of contractors who are registering with Constructionline.”
