Channel hails Brother campaign as a summer success

A campaign designed to boost summer sales for reseller partners of office tech specialist Brother has been praised for its effectiveness in increasing trade over a traditionally quieter period in the sales calendar.

Over 220 of Brother’s channel partners took up the various offers and incentives available as part of the company’s £300,000 ‘Summer of Colour’ campaign, with 78,000+ supporting direct mail pieces sent out to resellers’ existing and potential customers.

The feedback from individual partners has also been very positive. Toni Gibiino, sales and marketing manager at Xact Document Solutions in Nottingham, commented: “Thanks to the latest campaign from Brother, we’ve seen our highest ever sales figures for its colour multifunction machines – a 150% increase in fact.

“With part of our business being telesales, the supporting marketing materials provided by Brother were crucial to the success of the campaign, enabling us to mail out to customers and put web banners in place before contacting them rather than cold calling. The company made it very easy to order and implement the marketing tools and everything was sent out very quickly once we’d ordered it.

“This year has been tough so far for everyone in the channel and any campaigns designed to make it easier to sell to our customers are always welcome. The Brother campaign has certainly done that. It’s been a great boost to staff morale and to sales and it’s good to see a vendor getting behind its partners in this way.”

Brother will continue its reseller support with regular quarterly trade promotions, which will have a range of initiatives and promotions to enable resellers of all sizes to maximise margins and increase sales in new markets.
