Brother expands A3 options for ambitious small businesses
Brother is building on its A3 print credentials with the launch of a new range of machines offering faster speeds and an even wider range of cost-effective printing options.
Aimed at ambitious small businesses who want to boost their productivity, the new Brother A3 range contains three new models, all of which offer full A3 print, copy, scan and fax, and can support the demands of a busy, fast-growing office environment.
The new models introduce a new generation print head which increases the print speeds by three times versus its previous range launched in 2008. They also allow Brother to provide Images per Minute (IPM) ratings, with a competitive 12ipm for mono and 10ipm for colour.
Additional highlights of the new range are the XL cartridge, which offers Brother’s highest ever ink yield, meaning a cheaper cost per page for the user, and all the machines offer automatic duplex print, up to A3, as standard.
Phil Jones, sales and marketing director for Brother, said: “In the current economic climate, SMEs need a competitive edge whilst improving productivity and cost control.
“A3 printers are becoming an essential tool in many professional industries, such as architecture, where companies need to produce professional, cost-effective documents, designs and plans in-house.
“Our new range of A3 printers has been designed to cater for these requirements in one efficient machine, with high quality print technology and useful features such as A3 duplex and A4 booklet print.”
The launch follows the success of Brother’s previous range which brought affordable A3 printing to individuals and businesses.
All the machines offer a large colour LCD screen plus enhanced connectivity, with fast wireless N technology along with Hi Speed USB 2.0 and wired network. They also offer USB Host / Pictbridge or Media Card ports.
Paper handling is improved on the previous range, and two of the machines feature a 500 sheet capacity and a bypass tray which can print up to 285g/m2 on plain, glossy or premium glossy paper.
In addition, the top of the range machine provides a dual scanner allowing fast A4 automatic double sided copying and scanning.
The range also offers an embedded web server, making it easier for employees to check the status of print jobs and configure the machines.
The first machines will be available from February 2011, with several models following on in March.
