Brother completes colour line up with new LED range for SOHO users

Brother LED range
From £195.74 (SRP ex VAT)

•Low cost, fully-featured colour printing
•16 ppm colour and mono printing
•Whole range network-ready
•Compact footprint with 250 sheet paper capacity

Brother has broadened its colour range to offer a fast, low-cost colour print solution with a new line up of desktop printers and AIOs utilising LED technology.

The new range consists of five machines targeted at SOHOs with a compact footprint for situations where space is at a premium.

To maximise flexibility in a small office environment, each machine in the range is network-ready to connect to up to five users as standard and two models in the range feature wireless connectivity.

Print speeds are 16 ppm for colour and mono across the board and costs can be kept down using the range’s colour restrict feature – a permission-based colour print option.

Two models feature a USB host port allowing printing from USB and, on the AIOs, scanning direct to USB and the entire range is energystar and Blue Angel accredited, ensuring the machines are as environmentally and ethically sustainable as possible.

Phil Jones, sales and marketing director at Brother UK commented: “Feedback from micro businesses suggested that, all too often, they have to make a compromise on speed to get an affordable colour machine. These companies often have needs that can’t be met by an inkjet, but they’re not big enough to justify investment in a laser. The idea behind this new range is to remove the need for compromise, as users can get a high speed colour printer for as little as £195.74(SRP ex VAT).

“Over the years, we’ve built a really strong reputation in mono printing and we’re now complementing that with an extensive colour line up. The range follows the successful launch of our colour laser models a couple of years ago and the extension of our colour inkjet collection last year to include some A3 machines, which have proved very popular.

“We don’t want people to make sacrifices when choosing a new printer or AIO. By offering our most comprehensive line up ever, we hope to provide something for everyone.”

Brother has established itself as a ‘one to watch’ in the colour printer market, with the company growing market share in colour laser printers, despite a downward trend in the industry. Its biggest success story is in the 16ppm and over colour laser MFC category, where Brother’s sales have grown by 24% YOY and where the company has the top five biggest selling A4 machines.*
