Admiral Taverns attracts potential licensees to event

Dozens of existing and potential landlords have been attending an event in Stoke to help boost business or learn more about the pub industry.

Admiral Taverns – the UK’s largest independent owner and operator of tenanted and leased pubs – hosted the event at the Britannia Stadium to give people an idea of what it takes to be a pub landlord.

Caroline Williams, licensee recruitment and training manager for Admiral Taverns, attended the event and was pleased with the level of interest. She said: “We spoke to a good mix of people, ranging from their mid-twenties to late fifties, all interested in finding out what support and opportunities are available for landlords.

“It was great to see an even split of males and females and many newcomers looking to pursue a different career path. We also met with existing landlords who were looking for inspiration and advice to boost sales.

“The event has shown us that there are plenty of people in the area who have the right skills and confidence to turn a vacant pub into a booming business. Anyone interested in becoming a landlord can contact our recruitment team on 0845 0708950 on visit www.admiraltaverns.com for more information.”
