Admiral food events are a hit with landlords
Admiral Taverns landlords have been learning about the fantastic benefits of offering food to increase their sales and footfall at special events held by the pub co in partnership with Booker wholesale, the UK’s leading food wholesaler.
The events, held at Booker branches in the South West, gave landlords the chance to meet with the expert Admiral Food Team who provided useful help and advice about how to start food from simple bar snacks through to five course menus. They were also on hand to advise about the latest products available and food trends.
To make the events interactive, live cookery demonstrations happened throughout the day where landlords could see for themselves how easy and convenient making delicious dishes actually are. All of the food prepared was then eagerly tasted.
Due to the overwhelming success of the events, Admiral will be holding 14 more events across the rest of the UK in the New Year. Any landlord who would like to attend one of the events or find out more information, can contact the Admiral Taverns food team on 0844 800 6671.
Sam Pedder, Admiral’s head of food, said: “Food offers landlords ways of attracting people to their pub and increasing their sales. These events have been a great opportunity to encourage more Licensees to try, or build their food offering, which is such an important part of any pub today.
“We have worked hard to develop a food offering which landlords can relate to whether they are running an a la carte menu or simply wanting to offer bar snacks. The feedback we’ve had from landlords has been extremely positive with nine out of ten saying they would come to this type of event again. We are really looking forwards to building on this success in the events in the new year.”
Sharon Dowling, landlord of Admiral’s Oddfellows pub in Cwmbran commented: “I had no interest in food market until the event and will now be trying a basic food menu as a result of my findings. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and enlightened me to start. I would like to know more about what I could do.”
